Trash Tips for Boaters Signs Installed at Boat Ramps

Thanks to a grant from the BoatU.S. Foundation, we were able to design, produce and install ten, Trash Tips for Boaters signs at boat ramps around the lake.  We are especially grateful to the Jordan Lake State Recreation Area, the NC Wildlife Resources Commission and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for agreeing to allow installation of the signs at their boat ramps. Below each sign is a box with Plexiglas front that holds brochures.  The boxes were designed, built and donated by Steve Foster and Stan Kuhlman, fellow boating/kayaking enthusiasts.

The brochure gives boaters the history of Clean Jordan Lake, involvement of the boating community in our work and a list of ten tips to help  us to restore natural habitats, reduce risk of injury to animals, birds and humans and provide a more beautiful place to land for a picnic.
